Chatime is expanding quite rapidly in the GTA. The Richmond Hill branch is located in Commerce Gate, and suits great for people who don't wanna venture out to the busy Warden and Pacific Mall locations.
I came here to purchase a drink at 3pm on a weekday, and it was completely dead. Although by the time I left there were a few people coming in, probably from St. Robs. I ordered a regular hazelnut chocolate milk tea with regular ice and sugar, and I also ordered a large milk tea with regular ice and sugar.
The first thing I noticed in the two drinks was the ice amount was completely different. There was practically no ice in my hazelnut chocolate milk tea, while the milk tea had the ice amount I'm normally accustomed to. Markham's definitely better in consistency. However the tapioca pearls are much chewier here compared to the Markham location, so I'll give them that.
One thing that definitely irked me here was the fact the points card tapping system wasn't working, and I didn't realize it until I saw the very small written piece of paper beside the cashier computer that the tap is down. The cashier could've told me earlier...
Overall the Markham location is better, but I think this location doesn't have the crowds compared to over there.
