| - If you're not willing to break the bank for a spa day, your best alternative would be to try out Seoul Zimzilbang. They offer a good selection of amenities: hot/cold tubs, steam room, sauna, scrubs, massages, and a co-ed common/relaxation room.
The first time I came here, barely anyone spoke English, so it was a bit difficult trying to figure out where things were. They've got new staff that do now though which is a relief.
The bath area is fairly clean, they have staff that maintain it from time to time. Couches in the common room has had better days and I wish they'd maintain it or find couches that will last longer and look like they're in better condition. They have several sauna rooms with different temperatures and a cold room in the back. They're fairly small, and on a busy day, you'll find yourself waiting for an empty spot.
If you want to come for a scrub or massage, it's better to go earlier in the day as they can get booked fast. I went in the evening with a couple friends and there was no spots available.
They don't allow food in the building, but they sell snacks inside. Depending on the time of day, they have nearby Korean restaurants that can deliver food as well! The price is a bit on the steep side, but honestly it's like that at any sort of venue. Big ups to the baked eggs and the barley rice drink though!
If it's your first time, come in and come with an open mind.
