I recently moved to Charlotte and have been trying to find a good barber. I stumbled upon the positive reviews on Yelp and decided to give it a chance despite the $39 price tag.
I was greeted with a smile and was asked if I wanted a drink (bourbon on the rocks). It wasn't long before someone was ready for me. I spoke with the lady and showed her detailed pictures of what I was looking to get. Moreover, I did ask her if she felt comfortable in her ability to get it correct and she said she could do it.
The end result was okay, it was comparable to getting a haircut at hair cuttery, but at more than double the price. The haircut did look similar, but she didn't cut along my hairlines; it will be problematic when my hair grows out (meaning I'll need to get a hair cut in about 10 days so I don't look ridiculous).
The quality of the haircut I received did not justify the price. Unless you plan on having 4-5 drinks, I wouldn't recommend. Perhaps the free drinks is to get you buzzed so you have a less regrettable experience?
Good customer service though!
