I asked a customer for a Hotel recommendation because the smaller Old Port hotels have started jumping the rates for tourist season starting May 1st
This hotel is similar to the Starwood Aloft concept which is loft like rooms with amenities for the millenials and a break from the usual dreary hotel rooms
Le Germain group adds their own twist of course to make your stay very delightful and enjoyable
Rooms are a great size although the workspace desk could have more depth but the built in media interface with a usb charge connector is a nice touch. I was pleased with my queen room which also offered a lounge chair to relax in
Rooms are very modern and have a hip feel to them
Firm mattresses ensures a great nights sleep
Wi-Fi was tested with 10mbs speeds which is great and a stupidly simple log in process means devices get connected right away...hint there is no log in process
They have the Keurig machine and offer Davids teas and all the shampoo you can use and plenty of towels
Staff is super friendly and cool to boot and will make you an espresso and even serve you vins and beer later in the day.
They dont have a cafe but there is an attached Starbucks but they do offer cool treats and snacks and light breakfast fair in the lobby and their Americano's are way better than Starbucks (hint just get all your stuff and add it to the Hotel Tab)
The hotel is in an area undergoing some revitalization but within a short walk is a Depanuer, a SAQ, a Winners, a Shoppers Drug Mart, West Elm, a Subway and probably a 10 minute walk to Old Montreal
For joggers they have Lacoste gear to wear and some canal jogging trails nearby
No pool or sauna
I didnt check to see if there was a fitness room but Montreal is a walkable city so get some fresh air and go walk around the area
Highly Recommended
You will pay more money and have a less joyful customer experience at other hotels
