This was my first time here after finding out that a ski resort exists near lost wages. The drive there take about 1 hour from downtown las vegas basically hwy 95 and then route 156. Its about the easiest mountain driving i've ever done.
The mountain itself only has a few runs and the blue and green runs are pretty easy. The black diamond runs are much more challenging on the level of mt baldy.
For the 2011-12 season they claimed to already have 55" of snow i was skeptical since there were rocks on the groomed runs and then i went into the advanced area and was skiing in boot deep powder and it had not snowed for a week by the way the black diamonds here are narrow chutes. This place also offers double black diamond runs for those willing to hike above the lifts. By the check out www.liftopia.com for deals here
