| - Everything was squisito! Exquisite!! Scarpetta is doing Italian right. The atmosphere, food and service were all impeccable.
LOCATION: It's located at The Cosmopolitan (where all the great restaurants seem to be).
ATMOSPHERE: The ambiance is romantic, lighting was dim and sexy, view of the bellagio fountains were breathtaking. Upscale and Trendy. Great for celebrations or a date night.
DRINKS & FOOD: We started with a bottle of champagne for the table while we enjoyed the variety of complimentary breads (the bacon and cheese was my fave). We were a group of 4, and shared all plates. For an appetizer we ordered the tuna crudo and yellowtail crudo. They plated it for us and the presentation was beautiful. The fish was melt in your mouth delicious and seasoned perfectly with just enough kick to wake up your taste buds. We ordered 2 plates of the spaghetti, split into 4 portions, the short rib/bone marrow agnolotti and the pici. All pasta dishes were cooked perfectly al dente. Accompanied by a bottle of Justin's Isosceles, which never disappoints. The spaghetti was simple but delicious - spaghetti noodles with tomato and basil. The short rib agnolotti is a mixture of short rib and bone marrow inside a flat agnolotti noodle (think mini cylinder raviolis). It's rich and savory. The pici pasta with lobster, tarragon, almond and chili pesto was by far everyone's favorite. It's a must order. We finished the night with some Nocello, an Italian black walnut liqueur. I'm not into dessert drinks but I will definitely be buying a bottle of this for home.
SERVICE: Service was outstanding. Our waiter made some great recommendations, our drinks were always full. And Noah, the sommelier? was very warm, welcoming and fun. He really made our night special.
Value: I'd say this is more of a 4-$$$$ restaurant, but well worth the $140 per person.
