| - As with any vehicle, the owner assumes certain responsibilities, especially when it comes to routine maintenance. I consider myself dutiful and vigilant when it comes to maintaining the longevity of my vehicles. After all, aside from the "looks", it is also supposed to keep you safe. Ok, all of that aside, I'd scheduled my 10k service well in advance with Superstition Springs Lexus. I live 5 hours away, in remote northern AZ by the 4 corners area.
Anticipating an entire day's journey, I woke up early and began the drive down. Stopping in Tuba City, AZ to make a pit stop, I decided to give what I thought was a courtesy call to the dealership to inform them about the possibility(note: possible doesn't mean probable) of me being late (not because I didn't leave on time but because I lack a crystal ball to tell me about traffic delays, accidents, or whatever else might happen on such a long drive down). I did what I thought was the responsible thing to do, but I also requested that if I was slightly late, if they'd still be willing to accommodate me.
I don't think this is entirely unreasonable, given that I did my part to schedule my service in advance, upkeep my "end of the deal" by maintaining my car and willing to make such a drive, AND calling them several hours in advance....
The service advisor (or manager, I did not get a name), was SO rude to me. I wanted to cry. She begrudgingly advised me that if I were to be late, I wouldn't be seen. Why make a 5 hour journey (plus a 5 hour return drive home) only to be turned away? Sure, I could do other things in the Valley, but the main objective of the trip was to get my car serviced.
I don't think I was rude or impolite, and I don't think my intended act of calling to let them know of my situation warranted such mistreatment.
Shame on you, Superstition Springs Lexus. Your customer service is clearly non-existent, and you have lost a customer. I would certainly not recommend this dealership to anyone.
I get it, they're busy, possibly stressed out....I'm stressed out too. I'm a busy working professional who was willing to make a 10 hour round trip journey in the name of maintaining vehicle longevity who was disrespected...
