Kudos to Heidi Meyer-Spidell for creating Pinnacle's amazing aquatics program and, besides being personally inspiring, recruiting a great coaching staff. I have been in the Pinnacle masters swim program for over a year, and Kimberly Goodell's coaching helped me recapture a love of swimming, as well as improving my technique.
When Kimberly moved to California, Andy Rose had some huge shoes to fill as the new coach of our class. Even as Andy brings his own inimitable style to the class, he maintains the qualities of motivating and challenging each individual to achieve a great training workout, while also accommodating what each of us wants to get out of the class. He's very attentive in checking in to see if the workouts fit what class members want and calibrating accordingly. I look forward to every class--even at the ungodly hour of 6 am.
Karl Barton is a coach new to Pinnacle and Madison. I am taking private swim lessons from him, and besides his knowledge of swim techniques and skill in teaching them--which are considerable--I love how what he conveys in words radiates through his whole body. I believe that the level of his enthusiasm alone could keep a stone afloat. I'm learning so much from him and feeling consistently stronger in my swim.
The entire atmosphere at Pinnacle is friendly and supportive.
