| - If I could give this place a review of zero stars, I would. I went in here on a Tuesday afternoon. I figured the mediocre reviews weren't too bad, and the place is very close to home. When I arrived, there were no other customers, and three employees sitting to one side. I asked for a basic manicure, and was told to pick my colour, and sit at a table that had a dirty towel laid out (full of artificial nail dust). The towel was replaced, and my hands were placed in a cold bowl of water. The woman doing the manicure proceeded to do a very quick and sloppy job of pushing my cuticles down. She then pulled out a dirty pair of cuticle trimmers THAT STILL HAD SOMEONE ELSE'S SKIN ATTACHED TO THEM. I was disgusted. I asked her to use a clean pair, and with a great deal of attitude, she wiped them off and sprayed with alcohol. I should have left then, but wanted a completed manicure, so I foolishly stayed. The rest of the manicure was sloppy, rushed and I had to ask for a nail to be redone because there was a sizeable lump in the polish (this was also met with rudeness from the woman). From the time I walked into the salon, to the time I walked out (including drying time) was less than 30 minutes. I got home and promptly washed my hands, and fixed the cuticles that had been torn up.
Don't be fooled by the modern furniture and the fancy pedicure pods in this place. It's run down, NOT CLEAN, and the staff are rude. I try to be a respectful customer, and I understand I'm only paying $15 for a manicure, but do expect at the very least to have my health and safety protected, and for a clean, polished nail (otherwise, I could just do this at home).
