| - It was a spontaneous day! And what a joyous sunny day, too! We hopped on the TTC and ended getting off at Eglington Station. Since it was lovely out, we decided to take a 20 minute stroll through the Bayview/Leaside neighbourhoods.
Oh no! I didn't do my yelp research prior! So here I am, walking, talking, eating, and yelping all at once! Oh, and walking my dog at the same time! Yup, just call me the multi-task queen!
PET-FRIENDLY
PLC was the first cafe that caught our eye, so we stepped inside. There was a "no dog sign" outside, but I took my chances by asking the staff if it was alright to sit at the very back corner of the patio, with our pet, and surprisingly, she said YES! (*BIG SMILE*) Never hurts to ask! Plus, they get a bonus point for that!
AMBIANCE
Cute cozy little cafe with a Parisian aura, and European style patio furnishings, brightly lit, with pretty pastels yellow walls and splashes of pink accents.
FOOD
They have an All Day Brunch Menu, and being 2:30pm, why not?
Cafe
We got a cappucino (which was brought over with fresh cinnamon & chocolate sprinkles). Great cup of coffee! The coffee was very smooth, and not too bitter, for my liking.
Croque Madame
Toasted brioche layered with ham & Swiss cheese & topped with a fried egg. This was a STACKED sandwich, 3 layers of buttery bread, with ham & cheese between, and a fried egg oozing on top! Delicious and oh-so-buttery-YUM!!!
Chicken Tourtiere
Chicken chunks cooked in white wine, carrots, peas, celery and many other vegetables. I'm not a fan of any "pie" type foods, and was hoping this would convert me. It was good, but it didn't make me get up and boogie.
SERVICE
Awesome! Always smiling, efficient, and friendly! Or maybe it was because we came in the late afternoon on a Sunday?
PRICE
All of that came to $27.00 (no tips added yet). So, it's average for brunch prices.
Yes, we enjoyed ourselves here, and the food. It's a tiny space, so it's great for dates and catching up with just one friend, or two. And Oh-So-Awesome for Sunday late brunch on the patio!
