| - I'm really torn about this place.
Pros: It's like no other strip mall nail shop I've been to. They've put a lot effort in the interior and the "experience". It's spacious and with high ceilings. They have an island theme with scented moisturizers and potions. Flat screens, music, tiki torches, palm leave awnings and just decor from the ceiling to the floor, galore!! They say that they're clean because they use fresh plastic coverings for the pedicure pool and bring out all their nail instruments in sterilization bags you often find at the dentist. Drinks included too? Water, tea, and wine? What?!
This must be paradise, or maybe just a mirage
Cons: Let's start with the moisturizer bar- neither my friend and I were asked to choose a scent. We just got whatever they brought over. So we never even got a chance to see what the hype and eye candy was about. Next, the "sterilized instruments"- my nail technician brought over an already opened bag and left it next to her. I'm thinking "new or old, clean or used", it didn't matter! Instead of reaching into the bag, she opens her drawer and for the remainder of the manicure, every instrument is taken from the drawer NOT the bag. Why didn't I say anything?? I don't know- Maybe it's because I'm not confrontational and I like the protection of my laptop to complain about something.
So I leave and I'm still content just because my nails are nice and pretty. Then an hour passes and the nail polishes just completely comes off one nail. No worries-I have the nail color, I'll just patch it up. Next morning, another...then another. By day 3, all but 1 nail had come off. I come back to repair, which they did. Instead of getting someone new, they made sure I got the same person again. Thanks...
It is slightly pricier here, arguably because of the "cleanliness" and wine that I didn't drink. It may be paradise for some, but for me, I won't be revisiting that illusion.
