| - This office lacks COMMUNICATION with the patient, and is highly disorganized! No one was rude, and they were super nice, but that's as far as it went. I had my wisdom teeth removed on 11/8. I called them the Thurs. before b/c I needed to know what my dental insurance covered, and what I'd be paying out of pocket. Money's tight and I needed to budget for the cost. They informed me that they had all of my insurance info. from my dentist and would be giving me a call the next day (10/31). Didn't hear back from them and the following Wed. (11/5) I called them back b/c I had not heard anything. Left a vm, and didn't hear anything at all on Wed. I called Thurs. and spoke w/Doug, who is the manager, and said he'd personally take care of it, but they didn't have my info. Why did they tell me a week ago they had it? Didn't hear anything Thursday. The day before my appointment I called back, only to have him say he left messages on my work machine the night before (which didn't show up), and he didn't bother calling to leave a message on my cell b/c I told him I can't take personal calls at work on my cell. I had told him to leave a message on my cell if he couldn't reach me at work. The whole two weeks I had mentioned my appt. was scheduled for 8 a.m. I walk in around 7:30-7:45 knowing I had paperwork to fill out. They were confused b/c supposedly my appointment was at 10:15. My appointment card said 8, which was the appointment I had made while in my own Dentist's office! I told them that if they changed my appointment, nobody told me. They also weren't aware that I had scheduled to have my extraction done the same day as my consultation b/c I didn't want to wait another two weeks. I'm wondering if anyone talks to anyone, or if they're all stuck in holes? I spent $640 out of pocket beforehand knowing I would be loopy after the procedure, and was checking my HSA card to see if I had anything on it (b/c I forgot to do that in advanced), and the receptionist rushes me back to the back b/c "otherwise we're going to be really far behind with our next appointments). The $640 out of pocket was for thirty minutes of anesthesia, plus two 15-minute intervals b/c they expected it to take 1 hour. It only took 45 minutes. I called on Monday (11/10), and was told a manager (Doug) had to approve the refund. I called again Tuesday to get a refund for those extra 15 minutes, and left a voicemail. I'm STILL WAITING to hear back from SOMEBODY. If it doesn't sound like a lot to you, $100 for fifteen minutes equivalent to a week of paying for childcare to me, so I needed that refunded to me! I've been trying to hold off on this review, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but when someone has high anxiety about the cost of a procedure, they might want to take care of that person! I am very disappointed in the lack of communication between practice and patient, and I found out from my ride later that their 8 a.m. appointment didn't even show up... Hmmm... wonder if they were the 10:15? I put "not sure" for appointment only b/c they don't even know when their appointments are!
