They have good coffees and pastries. The reason I am giving one star is that the service is absolutely obnoxious! I call it the "Safeway School" of phony, overly friendly service that really crosses the line from nice and polite - to invasive, phony questions like "What are you going to do for fun today?"; "Where would you like to travel if you could go anywhere in the world?"; "If you went on a summer cruise where would it be to?"; and "What are you going to do this summer to stay cool?". I cringe every time I have to go through their drive-through as I know I am going to be bombarded with these phony, inane questions. No, I don't want to be your fake, 2 minute BFF. Just give me my coffee and leave me alone! Clearly they are told by their boss to do this. I have been to Dutch Bros. in the Northwest states and they are so totally NOT like this so it is clearly not company policy (I hope). Seems to be more of a branch decision. Please stop! Reminds me of when PetsMart used to ask every single time at checkout "How many pets do you have" and "What kind of pets do you have". They finally got a clue and stopped the ridiculous, annoying behavior. Dutch Bros. needs to follow suit.
