It feels weird writing reviews for places like Papyrus, but I guess I didn't have much to work off of. Hoping this helps others looking for gift wrap.
I'm very much a believer of "you get what you pay for", so I figured shopping here for Christmas gift wrapping would have been more fruitful than the cheap stuff at Target or Walmart. Got some really nice glitter paper in green here that didn't look tacky, and I thought $7 for the roll wasn't the worst. Buy my one and off to the races.
It did keep nice even post-wrapping. But in terms of ripping and crinkling I expected better - my margin of error was barely higher, if at all, compared to my usual stuff. Maybe that's how Papyrus gets you - pay for the wrapping fee - but I think the company just cuts corners. And I'll ignore the glitter bombs that happened in my car with my gifts en route - that was probably on me.
If you're a wrapping virtuoso or you're interested in their cards or books, I think Papyrus is a great option. Personally, I found another national gift wrap store literally across the street selling wraps that felt much more durable and went the extra mile. I probably wouldn't come back unless I was already at Shake Shack.
