Every time I visit vegas I always try one buffet, this time was wicked spoon. I had heard of this as next go to place also I had missed it on my last visit to vegas in 2015.
We were driving back from Moab, UT after our 3 day 4x4 jeep safari and headed back to OC. We were 5 men guyz under 45 and very hungry as well. Let's start on cosmopolitan the valet did not want to park our land Rover as he was only parking registered guests, and pointed us down to basement parking. Cosmo interior was cheap fake crystal chandelier decor. I looked up one of the information signs and it was a small place with only 5 restaurants and out of that 3 were bar type places and one was Wicked Spoon and last one was some other restaurant. Anyway we followed the signs and ended up at wicked spoon there was a small line starting to form at 5pm dinner buffet. My expectations based on what I had heard and vegas.com was pretty high also the price was $38 plus tax. We were seated right away and our server greeted up and brought us sift drinks and explained the buffet stations and now the fun starts.
Salad bar - poor
Seafood - small skinny crab legs - ok
Fish gumbo - freshly made but nit much variety - taste ok.
Prime Rib and lamb - decent
Italian station had only pizzas - lame and disappointed
Asian Station - two types of sushi, California roll and salmon sushi. Taste of both were like I was eating rubber.
So that's all the food station they had and yes I am saying that's the buffet ohh now let me tell you about desert. I think my local bakery donuts shop has more variety than this place. Desert tasted ok nothing out of ordinary or I took a bite and I fell out my chair like OMG.
This was the worst buffet of my life I want my money back. I think TI is even better in taste and variety. I give it one star in food.
