  • I called 4wheel parts and talked to jimmy. I told him i wanted fog lights installed on my tundra but i wanted it to look factory. Ive been looking on the internet and saw that they had a Fog light kit that was specifically made for Tundras. Jimmy said I can order it for you. I said ok how much will it be? Jimmy said $500 for parts and labor. I made an appointment to drop my Tundra the next week. As i dropped off my Tundra i spoke to Jimmy again and i made quite clear that i wanted it to look "factory". Jimmy showed me the Pia fog light kit box and said it will look like it came from the factory. Later that day i picked up my truck. As i was looking over the fog lights i noticed a unused screw hole in the plastic cup. It looks like a pre drilled hole from the Pia factory that was not needed. That was the first sign that it was not specifically made for Tundras. I also noticed the passenger side fog light plastic cup had a screw that was not screwed in all the way. As i went into my truck to check out the on/off switch for the fog lights i noticed it was definitely not "factory" looking! The on/off switch is oval shaped that was attached to the dash with sticky double sided foam. The "factory" looking fog lights i saw on the internet was not the ones that was installed on my truck. I assumed the Pia fog light kit Jimmy recommended was the same that i saw on the internet. Which of course wasn't the same ones. I guess that was my fault for letting 4wheel parts order the stuff i wanted. The fog light kit is at Tundrapart.com if anyone wants to see the "real" factory looking kit. If you want fog lights for your Tundra use the kit on Tundrapart.com NOT the ones that the shop wants you to use cuz they DO NOT look factory on Tundras. I also noticed that the fog lights were improperly positioned. The passenger side light would shine farther than the driver side. That's not a big deal i thought, ill just fix that myself. I removed the plastic plate from behind the fog lights. As i was loosening the lights i noticed that the driver side and the passenger side wires are different lengths. The driver side had alot of extra wiring and was just hanging there. They should of zip tied the excess wire to prevent it from getting snagged on something but they didnt. The passenger side wire was cut too short and almost didn't reach the fog light so the wire was placed on the outside of the bumper frame. Seeing how much i paid to have the fog lights installed you would think they would do just a little bit better job. I could of went back and talked to Jimmy about fixing this problem but I never go back to the same place to have things "fixed" cuz the last thing anyone wants is a pissed off mechanic to work on your vehicle a second time. I am totally disappointed with the service i got and will not be going back ever again!
