| - So here I am. Sitting at Sixt Los Angeles waiting for my FIFTH replacement car. The first one I rented I waited an hour for after the woman gave me keys to a car that was no where on the lot. Then, the car that I did receive that I waited for had a broken backseat door handle so no one could get in or out from that side. Then, the fun part: driving from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, the car (with less than 20,000 miles on it) had a tire pretty much explode and just be without any tread. We waited 4 hours for a replacement vehicle when the dispatcher promised it would be 2 hours. In the middle of the desert on the side of the road
So replacement car #2 came from the Sixt Las Vegas location. It was a Cadillac. I turned the car on and it said 0% oil. Joy. After driving to Las Vegas with the 0% oil, I stopped at a sixt to replace the car.
Replacement car #3 was a Cadillac suv. Again, after turning the car on (not touching it) and waiting for over an hour at the location while the assistant chased around some girl named "Ashley " for keys, the tire pressure was low. Mind you, I had to drive all the way to Vegas to get "help." They didn't come to me. The employee at the front desk: ms Franklin- was not helpful at all either.
So, they had only one other car: the most grandma Volvo station wagon you could imagine - #4. Fun. I drove back to Los Angeles.
I called the Las Vegas location the next day to complain and request a discount. The manager, michelle, was busy. She was supposed to call me right back. I called her back 4 hours later and finally got ahold of her. She gave me a small discount, but not one that reflect this kind of 7 hours of pointless waiting inconvenience. Michelle suggested I call the Los Angeles location and request a replacement for the Volvo as it was not in the same class as the Mercedes I paid for.
So here I sit. For an hour an a half now. Waiting for a replacement Mercedes that is still lower than what I paid for. The girl at the desk could not be any less helpful if she tried.
This company is a nightmare. It's not about the money it's about the ridiculous inconvenience. I have never experienced this kind of frustration with any company in my entire life.
Please, for the love of God, don't rent from any sixt location. You will hate yourself for it. And, you won't get the car they advertised. You'll get something worse than what you have at home.
