  • I have to say I wasn't impressed with the Rhino. For an area that is packed with hot clubs and bars (Parkdale Drink, The Drake, The Gladstone) you think it would kick things up a notch, maybe improve the decor or something. I just felt like this was kind of a dive-y bar in Parkdale. Pool tables, big screen TVs and cheap seating. I couldn't tell if I was in a campus bar or a hot and trendy watering hole in Toronto's West end. Maybe that's what keeps people coming back; the fact that it never changes and probably never will. In its defense, it does have a kick-ass beer menu featuring over 150 brews. And the patio outside is a nice escape from the Freshman feeling of the bar's interior. If you're looking to relive your college days, this is it. If you're looking a more upscale establishment, this ain't it.
