I was really excited about this place. I was assuming it would be similar to Black Ball (this Taiwanese dessert in Washington.) I was impress with the taro balls. They were perfect and super chewy. It was fun to eat! The only thing I did not enjoy was the red bean soup and the fresh taro. The red bean just didn't taste as the other red bean soup i have tried. It was too thick and light. The taro wasn't fully cooked. It tasted kind of raw and hard to bite off of. I'm not sure if that's the proper way to cook it. Every taro bites i've had before were pretty soft and easy to bite off. I would love to come back and try their shaved ice dessert tho. If that impresses my taste buds I guess that will bump it up an extra star.
