Reviewers keep saying that this place is authentic??? This place is downright disgusting! The owner DOES NOT wash his hands when he prepared the sandwiches or cut deli meat/cheese. Horrible hygeine! The Health Department and City of Phoenix were contacted after my visit. The aisles of the store were so cluttered with expired canned and jarred foods. Also, the aisles had zero lighting down them. The food itself was not even close to real, authentic Italian food. The sandwich bread was stale, like 2 or 3 days old. The meat quality was cheap. There are better brands out there to serve people. The spaghetti and meatballs were a joke. There was so much water inside the container. The sauce tasted like it was out of a can. The meatball was tasteless. I was told the sausage was homemade. It was fatty and full of fennel seeds that everytime you'd take a bite, your teeth would crunch down on fennel. The piece of pizza was obviously reheated in a microwave. It was greasy and barely any cheese on it. I am amazed people like this place. People in Phoenix obviously don't know real, authentic Italian Deli's. I am sure if you research other Italian Deli's in the valley, you will find better. This place is bottom of the barrel. You're better off eating from Subway across the street.
