My boyfriend and I was walking through Kensington Market today before dinner and noticed this new ice cream place. We still had time before our dinner plans so we decided to go in and check this place out. This place just recently open up, in fact, I was talking to one of the staff there and they told me that they just opened up last week as a soft launch.
I think this place is a cross between a Marble Slab and Kekou. Their menu is not very big, but I have to say I really like the fact that they make the ice cream right in front of you. It is a bit of a wait, since they are making the ice cream to order. But I really like the idea that is it made to order. I ordered the I'm Not Matcha ice cream. It is honey, yogurt, and Japanese barley powder. My boyfriend ordered The Nutty Canadian which has maple syrup and walnuts. I think the ice cream is to my taste as I don't like overly sweet deserts. Besides that the ice cream is made to order, they also make it look nice with toppings - kind of like a sundae. I say give this place a try if you are in the area.
