  • Walmart has never ever impressed me, or anyone I know, with their customer service; there are never more than a couple lanes open with tellers even when it is busy or right before a holiday- always poorly managed and run BUT the Walmart on Country Club & Baseline in Mesa, Arizona is an exception. My husband and I always joke about how bad our checkout experiences are and we started shopping at this Walmart having recently moved and we both expected it to be like all the other Walmarts we've been to in Arizona but happily we've both been had great experiences and more importantly this Walmart has been consistently good! They've had at least 7 lanes open each time I have gone and I never go at the same time even. This may seem like a very simple thing and having to wait a few mins to checkout is not a problem as we are not impatient people but when checking out consistently took 20-30 mins at our old Walmart it made us shop at other places more often because even though we can save some money shopping at Walmart standing there for 25 mins before the teller even begins to ring you up definitely crosses your mind when you plan to go to a store. I have always been annoyed that Walmart has 20+ registers and never had any tellers on them. This Mesa Walmart has happy friendly employees out doing their jobs and they obviously schedule them far more efficiently so props to the managers at this one AND each time either of us have visited our new Walmart the store has been clean and organized- it is definitely off putting when shelves are not stocked or stocking carts are just left randomly all over or items are overly disorganized like clothes just spilled out on the floors. I do not expect perfection or the highest service but it was at the point where it felt like Walmarts were barely functional from a customer's point of view. I do not really write online reviews but this felt like one I had to write because it is such a different store experience than we had become used to so I really want to do anything I can to make sure it stays this way! I have been shopping at Walmarts for almost 20 years and this specific Walmart has helped restore my loyalty.
