I recently visited this store for the first time and I have to agree with Anita; their business practices are shady.
I came in and was told to choose my colour. I chose a nail polish bottle from the rack closest to the door (First mistake) While the woman was doing my pedicure, she drew blood clipping my cuticles and left a lot of dry skin on my foot but, this wasn't the worst part of my experience.
As if it couldn't get any worse, when I went to get my manicure, I repeatedly voiced what I wanted him to do and he relentlessly suggested something else, would say he couldn't do that or tell me that it wouldn't look right. I gave in and he eventually ending up doing what he wanted to do. He was so rude and condescending! He even did this to another customer while I was drying my nails and she wanted a full set. He kept telling her what to do and what he couldn't do and what would and wouldn't look right! Last time I checked, the customer is always right!
While my nails were drying I noticed that there is NO price list visible in the store so when he gave me a slip I was shocked that there was an additional cost for pumice stones and files. It cost me about $47.46 before tip for a mani/pedi for, get this;
- Mani/Pedi ($35. Standard price)
- Vinyluxe nail polish on BOTH hands and feet ($6. $3 Per location for the same bottle of nail polish)
- 2 buffers & 2 nail files ($1.00)
- plus tax.
We should not have to absorb the cost of the mini buffer and file, at least let us keep them after! When I voiced my concerns about the additional costs, they point to one of the ONLY signs in the salon that display prices. BTW I usually get shellac but this time I went with this crappy brand (Vinyluxe) because I heard another woman complaining about her shellac mani. My nails have bubbles on them and already look dull!
I felt extremely rushed and ripped off. Needless to say I wont be coming back here again.
