I went to AFC after they asked my organization to come to our workplace to solicit new customers. The first appointment, initial consultation, went well. The people were nice and they took X-Rays and provided bits of information which was educational and helpful. They then scheduled me to come back the following Tuesday at 2:15pm to go over their findings from the X-Rays. At appointment 2, I showed up 10 minutes early and the receptionist that scheduled my second appointment was there to greet me upon arrival. She sat me in the exam room and said the Dr. would be right with me. After waiting roughly 20 minutes she told me they were "running behind" and that I would now need to wait in the waiting area. I let them know that I couldn't wait any longer due to work obligations and had to go.
I proceeded to ask for them to provide my X-Ray report that we were supposed to go over during the consultation but it wasn't ready??? Another employee kindly let me know that this was MY MISTAKE and that my appointment was not until 3:30pm because they do not schedule appointments at a quarter after on Tuesdays. Me being confused I pulled out the appointment card provided to me by the receptionist that said today's date and 2:15pm. Instead of handling the situation with professionalism and grace and owning up to mistakes I was told I can just come back within 24 hours to pick up my X-Ray report without any apologies or accountability on their behalf. The irony of the situation is that AFC came to us to solicit business from our workplace and AFC found a way to make it seem like the situation was an inconvenience for them. Being in the professional service industry myself I feel that they could have done a better job accommodating and handling the situation rather than simply pointing the finger at the consumer who happened to be right this time around.
I am only giving two stars because the Dr I met with the first time around was very kind and knowledgeable.
