  • Welcome to home ownership! Late January we had an pipe burst, flood emergency on Sunday (of course). Our plumber sub contracted AZ Pack Out for us. Within 15 minutes they were there with nice thick boxes and packed up almost 1/2 of my 2 bedroom condo. I was frazzled to the core to come home from a hike to find our carpets soaked so it was nice that I didn't have to scramble to find a service that does this. This is one of those services that you never knew existed until you need it! The room that was most affected was my office. I work from home and it was difficult to say what I would need to keep in my dining room, my new temporary office, or storage and for how long. They were very polite and left me cards with their personal cell phone numbers because I was concerned that I would need something for my business that was going into storage. As I said, they were there in 15 minutes and it was an emergency situation so I couldn't plan what needed to stay and what could go, there was no time. I did have a couple of incidents where I had to call them and make an appointment to go to the storage facility and rifle through the boxes to find my tax papers because our claim was taking forever. The guys were really nice about meeting me there and even helping me find my papers. My restoration was finally done 4 months later. I called them on a Friday morning and they were back within 2 hours with all my furniture. I noticed they labeled each box with my address and phone number which was very professional. A couple of suggestions, as this is a newer company, by someone who has moved 23 times. Bring more sizes of boxes. All of them were about 16" x 16" and very good quality, which is great but most boxes were not filled to the top because of the breakables. I think that wastes a lot of storage space and when they brought it all back I couldn't believe how many boxes they had for me. I collect Snoopy memorabilia and some of it is extremely fragile. Some smaller boxes would have been wonderful. They did a nice job wrapping the collectables and nothing was broken so that was great. All the cords to printers and computers were all together and they also took apart a loft bed and all those bolts and screws were together, Yay! As far as them not working on the weekends, I don't understand. They were at my condo on a Sunday for an emergency but maybe they don't deliver your furniture back to you on weekends? Yeah, you NEED to be available every day or at least Saturdays because most people work during the week and can't / don't want to take the time off, without pay to have their furniture delivered. Most of your customers have already lost a HUGE $1000-$5,000 deductible and this experience has been a 4 month nightmare, like my situation, or at the least an inconvenience. Anything you can do to make it easier and more convenient for people will be greatly appreciated so I would suggest that. All in all, it was as good as an experience as it could have been. The woman that was griping about not having her bed on a holiday needs to get a life. When your house floods you have to make sacrifices and decisions are made quickly. Sometimes those decisions are made for you by professional people that know what they are doing because you don't. Did she not have a couch? Could she have slept at a friend's house? I had to work an online, product based business shipping from my dining room for 4 months while my insurance company fought with my HOA's insurance company. Thanks guys, for a job well done!
