  • This was one of my favorite stores in the downtown core, and my teenagers', too. Is it perfect? No, not at all. But it's huge, spacious, with a ton of trendy clothing at super reasonable prices, and every time we came here, we found some wonderful clothes. The men's section was on the top level (hubby loved it!). The other two levels are devoted to womens' clothing and accessories. I found a gorgeous, warm, stylish winter vest for $59 that here in the States, similar vests sell for $250+. We found long, fall Boho cardigans for $15 and $20 that here sell for over $50 (usually way more). Oh, and the womens' shoes! They had pewter leather, hefty (i.e., substantial) Doc Marten-esque shoes for $30-ish (they were well-made and looked like they cost hundreds, and I've not seen similar quality for this low price - or even close - here in the States). Our luggage returning home to Seattle was overweight and overstuffed, primarily do to our visits to this dang H&M store! The main downsize to this store pertains to the dressing room situation: there are 6 dressing rooms per floor. Each room is super small. On the weekends that we came here, the lines for the dressing rooms snaked along the railing the whole length of the store, and we customers were grumbling and tired after waiting 15+ minutes in a line that didn't move. Some folks even left. (Note to the wise: better to come here on weekdays, or when the store just opens on weekend days). Also, they only allow one person in each room (so I was prohibited from going in a room with my young teen daughter, to see how the clothes looked on her. And she is too modest to come out of the dressing room if she's unsure. So this was a big downside. And there were other moms in the same boat, whenever we came here). So... the dressing room situation is less than idea. We learned real fast when to come to this store to shop.
