I recently purchased a certified 2016 sorento from Russ Darrow KIA of Madison. The people seemed to be friendly and helpful but after you're done with your purchase they don't care. I noticed a few things about the car but let them go because they were small but noticed the oil sticker said that the oil needed to be changed... which should not be right since I have only owned the vehicle for about 3 weeks. I was in the area (I live over an hour away) so I stopped by the dealership to question it. When I walked in I was greeted with rudeness so the conversation went something like this...
"what are you in for?"
"HI yes I bought my vehicle about 3 weeks ago and I noticed that the sticker says it needs a oil change."
"yea your gonna have to go to the service department which is there."
"ok well I guess I was just wondering if the sticker is correct since it's supposed to be changed when you guys first receive the car and I have only had it 3 weeks. I shouldn't have to be changing the oil already."
"Like I said you're gonna have to go to the service department."
The rudeness and laziness of this employee got to me!!!! He was doing absolutely nothing except wheeling around in his wheelchair with his pink cast laughing with another employee. I really don't think it would have killed him to be kinder and to take the maybe 2 minutes to go to a computer and look my car up. At this point I decide I'm going to email the guy that I dealt with when I purchased the vehicle.... and this is how it went

Hey Cliff it's Samantha I bought the white certified 2016 sorento from you a few weeks ago. Few things...
The oil sticker in the window says the oil needs to be changed. I stopped in today to inquire about it and the guy in the pink cast was kind of rude. So I left. I will take business elsewhere if I need to.
When I bought the vehicle I didn't expect that I would have to put windshield fluid in the first week of owning it.
Or
Have low coolant.
Or
Have to vacuum the 3rd row seating because it's full of dog hair. Even tho we waited because someone was "detailing the vehicle."
Or to be told my car would be paid off before the payment was due to then being told it could be 10 business days and that I could make the payment if it was a problem.
I was hoping you guys would be my go to dealership but when I'm spending what I did on a vehicle it's hard to ignore things like not so good customer service or things like fluids not being full like they should be.
If you could find out for me if my oil needs to be changed or not that would be great.
Thanks Samantha
His response....
Samantha oil change was done was last done 12/07/16 at that point there was 22,226 miles so your next oil change should be 06/2017 or 29,726 miles. The vehicle came from Russ Darrow Waukesha Kia so if they didn't top the fluids off I can't speak for them but I would be more than happy to top them off here at Russ Darrow Madison KIA the next time you stop in. I don't know who told you it would be paid off right away because it's custom to take at least 10 days to 2 weeks for your the bank to receive payment. Sorry for the inconvenience!
I don't care where the vehicle came from... Kia of Madison sold it to me so they should have checked all of the fluids. We were even told "it's going to be a little bit because they are filling it up with gas, topping the fluids off and detailing it". NO the only thing they did was put gas in it!
No sorry that you felt you were treated rudely that should have been handled better... nothing!
Nothing about trying to keep my business with them. Next time I purchase a vehicle it won't be with them!
