When I first walked into Pacific Junction Hotel, my initial reaction was that this place was trying too hard to be a Queen West place......from the 80s. Then after reading the reviews, I really wasn't expecting much.
Personally, I like it. It's a great place to meet friends before heading out or a place to meet up with friends. The vibe is pretty casual. It has ping pong, pool & pinball on a different level so that it doesn't disrupt the folks sitting at the tables.
I have sampled a few things on the menu like the Poutine Spring Rolls (worth a try at least once) & the Buffalo Tofu. It's not really a place to have dinner, it's a place to share odd food with your friends.
This is my neighbourhood joint and while I realize that there is an affiliation with Betty's, I prefer this place. It doesn't have the old bar flys or lots of students being loud and obnoxious.
**if you are in the neighbourhood, give it a try**
