It's a Saturday night. You're not looking to drop a ton of cash, but you want to go somewhere with great food and great atmosphere. So many options, but where should you go? That place is Nolan Kitchen.
I went here a few days ago. When I walked in, the place had a lively vibe. It was 8pm and there were a ton of large parties having dinner. It was a little loud, but as people started leaving after the wine bottles were empty, it was much quieter.
The waitress assigned to my table was very nice. Didn't hover too much, but did come back to check on us periodically throughout the meal. She also didn't rush us out of the table, which was really great and relaxing.
The food was pretty solid. I know everyone raves about the zucchini chips, but I would put them at a solid "ok". The short rib pasta was the winner for sure. Not heavy like you would imagine a short rib dish to be, but packed with flavor. A must get!!! Chicken Piccata was also light and a nice.
Here is what you can find at Nolan Kitchen. Mostly neighborhood people from their 30s and 40s, so you're getting the "I go out one night a week and this is it" crowd who are enjoying some drinks with friends without acting ridiculous. Perfect if you're looking for a moderate priced restaurant for a group birthday party or a couples date where you won't fuss about splitting the check down the middle because the prices aren't outrageous.
