I called Transmission Depot after I read all the positive reviews on Google which were more than accurate to describe this establishment so I decided to post this on Yelp as well. I got my Mercedes transmission rebuilt at another mechanic under after market warranty. Long story short the insurance company was reluctant to pay out, so I wanted a third party mechanic to diagnose the car to resolve the dispute. Their customer service starts with the phone call. Craig who answered the phone was polite and listened as I described my stressful situation.
I took in my car the very next day, where Craig and Dan gave me a full tour of the their shop and gave me a lame man's explanation of how the transmission work and showed me what they were going to do diagnose the car. They seem to really know their stuff. Being a new mom with a new born, I felt completely comfortable in their office and didn't mind staying there to wait as everyone in there was so genuinely friendly and seem to really enjoy their jobs. They were considerate enough to give me a ride home as I lived a few km's away! Its very rare to receive such good customer service, let alone at a mechanic shop with a new born.
I would have to agree with previous reviewers that their tag line of being "Honest and Fair" completely fits this business. Although I didn't require additional work to be completed on my car, they did spend considerable time to provide me with a report and information that I required to go to the warranty company. If their customer service is as good as their work (which I'm sure is great, given they've been in business for close to 20 years), I will definitely be back for future auto mechanic needs. They definitely have me as a future customer.
