| - Happy Hour from 4-7 pm. We came here because my son wanted bolognes even. I looked up pasta on Yelp and EVO Had some nice reviews. We got their half hour before Happy Hour was done.
Nice restaurant decor and ambiance. With my checkin, they treated me to a shot of limoncello cordial. Then we ordered.
EVO burger was a big and juicy burger with roasted tomatoes and perfectly seasoned. It came with truffle fries, which are to die for ($10).
Truffle fries were crisp and accented with shaved Parmesan and topped with a splash of truffle salt and truffle salt ($5?).
Pasta bolognese a 3 star experience in my opinion. The sauce was bland compare to the big flavor of the burger and the truffle fries.
The wood-fired pizza oven yielded a nice mushroom pizza.
I learned a valuable lesson today. When I go to a restaurant, I should probably announce to my wait staff that I am allergic to walnuts, cashews and almonds. When I asked our serve what was on the bruschetta, she didn't realize that I had allergy concerns. She listed, "goat cheese, fig jam and onions, and did not mention almonds, so I thought it was a go!" When it arrived it looked pretty, but when I bit into it, I could feel the almonds, and thus, had to take Benadryl. When she checked on us next, I explained that I didn't realize the bruschetta had almonds, she returned it and asked if we wanted something else. We got an extra order of truffle fries, which we proceeded to polish off.
We enjoyed our meal thorough albeit the almonds, With the great happy hour prices, the four of us left filled and satisfied for the grand price of $11 per person including tip.
