| - Westgate is a nice little area to hang around at, but as for Westgate Tattoo & Piercing Co. goes, i would NEVER recommend that place. yes, it was clean, but professionalism is definitelyy what it's about. As a professional, you should be honest with your client & not just be after their money. In my case, the piercer who did my industrial ear piercing should've known not to pierce my ear. Of course i didn't know, but apparently my ear isn't meant for that type of piercing due to the small amount of cartilage i have on the side of my ear.
Being a "professional," he should've known this & not let money stand in the way. AND not only did he mess up my piercing, but my friend's as well.!!! (we went and got it on the same day) luckily my friend took hers out about 2 weeks after getting hers. the piercer told her she should come back in 4-6 weeks, but everything "should" be fine. it started to cut her ear within the first week.!
I had mine in for a year & a week. But today was the day to get rid of it. It hurt about twice a week at night, and kept cutting my ear. (i loved the piercing so much, i push tissue in between the bar & my ear to prevent it from cutting me) Well, today i went in a different tattoo shop (halo precision piercing) & asked how common it was for the bar to cut your ear. She looked at the piercing & knew immediately my ear wasn't meant for the industrial & knew the guy was out for not only my money, but my friend's as well. It definitely makes me think twice about getting pierced at some tattoo & piercing shops. Honesty gets you further in life, rather than ignoring future possible problems you may face & have some money in your pocket.
& btw, if i hadn't gotten the piercing removed, it would've completely tore through the side of my ear, requiring surgery to get it fixed.!! It was only a matter of time.. & it would've been VERY soon, as the bar was already working its way out & was creating a bigger hole. safe to say, i will never trust westgate tattoo & piercing co. ever again.!
