A welcome diversification of the Pittsburgh restaurant scene, but perhaps does not live up to it's potential.
The daily changing specials have a nice mix of legumes, tangy sauces and interesting combinations. What holds it back is a lack of full-bore authenticity (as perhaps would be found at Burma-Tokyo in Oakland). The lettuce and cheese salad was generic, and the chicken does not have the fall-off-the-bone quality and was a bit dry.
I also heard the beeps of a microwave...not something I'd like to hear in restaurants.
