| - I tend to only write reviews for one of two reasons: Either I had an incredibly awesome experience, or I had a really bad experience. And, I really dont think it is fair to leave a bad review over a singe bad experience. Unless, of course, that experience is so egregious it taints my opinion for evermore.
Daughter I were having the time of our lives tonight. It started at Gravady where we knew everyone there, from the staff to what seemed like half the people there. Walking out we even ran into friends in the parking lot. We then went for pizza with a group we ran into. And then decided to top the night off at MGP. We got $40 worth of tokens throughout our time there. We made friends there, played games there , Ginger even got invited to a birthday party that was in progress! I mean to tell you, we were like celebrities tonight. I was Brad Pitt and Ginger was a young Maggie Q. Anyway, we are winning tickets like crazy. Hitting bonus after bonus and amassing a huge cache of tickets like there was no tomorrow. I should probably be at a casino instead of on Yelp. Anyway, I take the tickets to the redemption area and the manager, Craig, comes over and asks where I got all the tickets. I tell him from playing games and he says: "because these tickets did not come from a machine". He goes on to say "I know you, where have I seen you before?". That really creeped me out. He probably recognized us from going there as much as we did. Anyway, I asked if he was calling me a liar and he backed off quickly. Ginger was oblivious to the situation and I let it go so not to spoil her evening. With all the tickets we won, Ginger got a couple small lava lamps and we went back to the birthday party because Ginger wanted to give one to the little girl who was having a birthday.
We used to go here pretty often, and enjoyed our time spent there. Never reviewed MGP as it was never anything spectacular, but never anything to really complain about. It just was a solid place to drop into for some downtime. But for this guy to insinuate I acquired the tickets by any other means than winning them was insulting. And I might be taking it a little too personally, but to accuse someone of stealing is a pretty serious accusation, and an attack on my character.
On way out I did not see the manager. My guess is he was in the back reviewing video trying desperately, in vain, to see where I "stole" the tickets. All he'll find is a guy with mad skills winning.
Needless to say, we will not go back. We will find a new place to spend the time we would have normally spent there. We always have some tokens left over and probably have $20 worth at home. And a few ride passes. It is unfortunate as MGP is close to home and it was convenient stop for us. I won't tell you not to go there, we always did have fun. And my wife knows the owner (where we got the ride passes) and always speaks highly of him. Also, I'd never wish misfortune on a small business owner. But if you do go there, give Craig the stink eye for us. You can't miss him. He is always sitting at the table eating. Like everytime we've been there. However, I can't return in good conscience.
