Our visit here was completely random. It was meant to be! Due to a nearby crepe restaurant being closed, I yelped all other nearby restaurants and found this!
Food: The gyros. Yes. So moist, perfected flavor, good amount, the side of potato fries so crisp but not oily. I shared a gyro with my mom (we weren't too hungry) and we were satisfied beyond belief. Oh and the flaming cheese, not worth it for me. I expected more of a dip for some reason (I may lack experience with flaming cheeses). And I wish I was warned that it was coming because it flamed (in a beautiful fashion) for a max of .5 seconds. It reminded me of cheese that gets crisp in an oven. Not special taste wise, and too oily for me. We ate about 1/2 of it. The bread and butter was. Perfection. The bread warm and toasty. The butter was a whipped mix of pungent rosemary and a hint of sweet honey. A combo I will forever remember. This is sad, but I will admit we loved the butter so much that we packed the leftover into our purse. (We had a top to our plastic container) No shame.
Service: Top notch. Extremely nice and patient. Water was always filled to the top. Quick, but not rushed. Just genuinely nice people work there from what I saw.
Environment: great location. Decor was almost on the edge of cheesy but in a cute way that reminded me of my Russian grandma for some strange reason. It seemed authentically Greek. I liked that. It made me feel like wow now this a real Greek restaurant.
I like this place. Wish I lived closer to Charlotte.
