| - I have seen Grace at this location a couple of different times. The first time I just went for a cut and it was fine. It was a good haircut. The second time I went for a cut and a partial highlight with rose gold highlights added in. I thought she did a good job. However, the third time I went in, Grace didn't even ask me what I wanted she just went to the back mixed up some color came back out and started working on my hair. I asked her if she had decided I didn't need the rose gold highlights this time and it was like she had no memory of me ever being there. So I reminded her that the last time I had been there we had done rose gold highlights and I really liked them. So she goes to the back and mixes up the dye and comes back out to do my hair. Now, every time I go in there there's lots of talk of her going out, getting drunk, being hung over etc. I don't really care one way or another but at some age, that stops being cute or funny. Anyway, she finishes my hair and I turn around and my rose gold highlights are hot pink. Grace tries to act like this is completely normal and this is how they're supposed to be. Makes a comment about how maybe they're a little darker than last time but there was nothing Rose gold about these... These were hot pink. I don't freak out and figure I can wash my hair and see how it looks the next day. So, the next day I wash my hair and my hair is still hot pink.
Speaking of the next day, my daughters who are 14 and 15 had homecoming and I had made an appointment with Grace to do their hair. Both of them are young and prefer a more natural, youthful look. They both brought pictures in of hair that had a little bit of hair pulled back or off to the side with some loose curls. Nothing fancy, nothing big, nothing that would have required a lot of time. What they ended up getting looked absolutely nothing like the picture that either one of them brought in. Keeping in mind that these are 14 and 15-year-old girls going to homecoming... They came out looking like 35-year-old bridesmaids from Texas. Their hair was teased, big, my 14 yo had these three cinnamon bun looking rolls on the back of her head...what she asked for was the sides to be pulled back with a little twist on each side and curls in the back... How Grace decided that these three big cinnamon buns on the back of my daughters head were anything like the picture of the little side pieces being twisted and pulled back is beyond me. My other daughter asked for nothing more than her hair to be swept off to one side with curls. What she ended up with was big, teased, Texas beauty pageant hair. They looked like a hot mess. Both of them were so upset but kept trying to act like everything was fine. Speaking of acting like everything's fine, I went in with my daughters... Hot pink hair and all... And Grace never said a word about how ridiculous my hair looked. Also, the going out and getting drunk stories continued even with my teenage daughters there. Just inappropriate.
So, we left and went somewhere else to have a gal do a tiny bit of make up for them... Again, these are young girls who don't really do fancy hair and make up but they wanted to try just a tiny bit for homecoming. When the gal saw their hair, she could tell it was nothing like what they wanted so she ended up taking everything apart and re-doing their hair in a lovely, natural hairstyle that looked just like the pictures that they had brought in to Grace.
I really hesitated posting this because I think Grace can do really nice hair. But, I think she doesn't really listen, doesn't seem to really pay attention to what she's doing and maybe it depends upon whether or not she went out the night before on how your hair ends up the following day. I don't know but I do know I won't be back.
