| - I actually like Lowe's, but it's horrible when you need installation done, and you get an unethical, independent contractor. I purchased a security door, and while the guy was installing it today, he hit our outdoor light and shattered the glass. I was watching from inside the house, but apparently he didn't think I saw anything. He went to his truck and brought back a broom and shopvac to clean up the glass, then continued installing the door. I was waiting for him to say something about it, but he never did. He knocked on the front door at one point to ask where he could plug into an electrical outlet but didn't say anything then either. So then I thought he was waiting until he was finished, but no. He showed me the installed door, which looked good! He told me that was it, asked for some initials, and started to walk away. I tried to give him every chance possible to be honest. As he was almost around the corner, I stopped him and asked about the light. He said he was going to tell me about that and then offered me $20. I told him I wasn't sure how much a new light costs, but he started pulling some up on Lowes.com which showed a wide range up to $60. I told him I'd call Lowes to figure it out. Now I'm working with the local store to get this resolved. I took pics and also cleaned up the glass that was leftover on the ground. We have pets, so I wanted to make sure they didn't step on anything. Not good, Lowes...
