  • I think I recommend BottleHouse 2 out of 3 times when people want to grab a drink. I love the atmosphere of the place, awkward picnic bench style seating and all - you can bring your own food, buy a drink, and choose from a few of their board games to play with friends, so it is good for larger groups. I usually am able to come here and just talk with friends (surprise, surprise - this Millennial knows how to have a proper conversation). They do have high-top tables for a more intimate setting. Hint hint, date night spot. Or, in the warmer months, the outdoor patio is a good choice as well. I'm a fan of their meads and ciders - they recently had a raspberry one, which was my favorite (Clairvoyant?). They also just tapped some of their sour beers at the Cleveland Heights locations. I had their raspberry one, which I liked as well. They host Trivia nights every Monday evening, which is fun for smaller groups of friends. My favorite event is the StoryClub, which happens every first Tuesday of the month, and is hosted by Story Club Cleveland. You can grab a drink, listen to funny (and sometimes cringeworthy) stories told by featured performers or people who have signed up for the open mic slots. They do come around halfway through and collect suggested donations, but this event is otherwise free. Feel free to contribute, or not, but it is really quite entertaining. They'll have "themes" for the stories each month, which is picked by the audience from the month before. They do have food menu items, which is limited and pricey in my opinion - but you always have the option of bringing your own food in. This location is close to other great restaurants on Cedar Lee, so you're not far from food if you really want something else.
