  • A friend of mine recently gifted me a seven star companion card. They told me all about the lounges and how great they are so I was pretty excited to use this perk. I have now been to four of these Diamond Lounges. Almost all the Ceasars properties have them. The Rio Lounge is the first Diamond Lounge that I've reviewed. This lounge isn't any better or worse than the others, I just hadn't thought about writing a review on these places. Since it's required you have this special card to get in, I didn't think I'd see any reviews. It occurred to me to look for reviews after I'd received poor to mediocre service at every lounge I've been to thus far. I wondered if I was the only one who felt this way. It was interesting to read what others wrote and, for the most part, the reviews were great - so I guess I'm unlucky. At every lounge I've visited, I've had to flag down a server to order a drink. They have chips and dip and veggie trays and trays of cookies. Apparently they bring out other hot foods, like chicken and such from 4 to 6. I'd recommend you arrive right at 4 if you are interested in eating any of that stuff because I got here at ten after 5 and there was nothing left and the server told me they didn't plan on bringing out anything more. The free drinks are great, if you can get em. And I like eavesdropping on the conversations around me. The people watching is good. I really hate to write a bad review of something that's supposed to be free. Then I started thinking, how free is this place really? My buddy gambles a lot here. I guess they don't have to do this and people would still gamble lots but I guess since it is supposed to be exclusive I expected it to be nicer.
