My most recent dinning experience here was my third or fourth time at this restaurant. Every other time I have been here I LOVED it. I especially love the wrapped bacon tots appetizer. Delicious and innovative. So, although this is not a restaurant I frequent often, I had such warm feelings toward it.
My last dinning experience leaves me feeling like I will never come back. Let's start with where I started that evening. I ordered a new cocktail that they had on the menu. It was a lemonade cocktail that literally tasted like water with about a few lemons in it . No taste of alcohol. Lacking in flavor.
The tater tots, per usual, were superb!!!!!!!!!!! The best of the meal.
As I looked on the entree menu, I was very disappointed that they have scaled back some of the best dishes. Have no clue where they went but they need to bring them back. Settled on the Old School Burger.
This burger only rivals a burger you could get at your local Chili's. Such a travesty at $17.00. Just terrible. There was nothing special about this burger. And this supposed secret sauce that they advertise, well, I didn't taste any sauce.
To put the icing on the cake. My dinner companion had an issue where she was charged an uncharge when she shouldn't have been and one for which the waiter failed to tell her that she would be charged. When having the owner, Fran, come over. She handled herself in a disgusting manner. She told my friend, that avocados are very expensive and that's what the uncharge was. Never a real apology. She made both of us feel uncomfortable with her aggressiveness. The uncharge was around $1.25. We could have bought an entire avocado for that. The owner was so busy telling us the change in price for avocados. Not our problem lady. Make sure your staff is trained properly so they can simply communicate these things. The issue was not the amount but rather the customer service.
Terrible. Such a waste of what use to be a perfection type restaurant.
