If zero stars was an option I would have picked it. Over the course of 5 months, through double digit phone calls, emails and snail mail attempts to get an unauthorized forced insurance policy and corresponding escrow closed has not been successful. There was never a lapse in coverage, I continued to pay my principle and interest payments on time and have provided all of the required written proof and requests to have the escrow closed (you have to send your request to close the escrow in writing however they don't require you to send in a written request to start it). Today I find out that since I haven't been making the escrow payments they have counted my payments as late and can't close out my escrow because of it. Yep. The goal is apparent, RP needs to meet an escrow quota and makes the process as hard as possible to get out. I will be inquiring with BBB and applying this same rating on every social media channel at my disposal to warn as many consumers as possible. At this point I'm ready to refinance to get away from this company (whom I have two other properties mortgaged as well). I have asked to talk to the escrow officer making these decisions and of course they don't take phone calls. Shame on your Roundpoint...not the way to treat your customers.
