I paid about $6,000 in dental work for my sister last year. All of a sudden received a notice from my bank that $700 was just deducted. I thought they got hacked. Come to find out that they stated it was a balance from last year so they just used the last form of payment they had. They stated they called (which they didn't, only phone call was to make an appointment for a cleaning) and we have since found another dentist. The work was sub-par at best and had to be fixed by the new dentist who also charge a less than half what I paid here. I'm so uncomfortable knowing they kept my debit card info for a year and charged a balance without ANY contact or authorization from me. They have since cleared up this matter and assured me of their payment practices and the reason for the confusion and error and provided a partial credit.
Update 8/23- Nice customer service- 5 months later I get the below response calling me a liar? I was not asking for any information regarding a patient. MY records still hold true that I was charged one year after my sisters service without anyone attempting to contact me. It still hold true that MY debit card information were kept on file for my sister for a year... After I contacted the dental review board and better business bureau who were looking into this as well the staff contacted me and tried to clear up this matter and apologized. Might want to take a different approach to negative reviews when you clearly don't know all of the information doctor.
