Even though my birth was very tough and I ended up having to have a C-section I'm truly lucky and blessed to have had Dr. Falcone deliver my daughter. After being induced and only making it to 3 centimeters after almost 35+ hours of trying to have a vaginal birth, I decided to just go ahead with the surgery. During my stay in labor and deliver every nurse was amazing! So nice and attentive. I felt so comfortable. The birthing suites are very large and comfy and even have a place for dad's to sleep. I would suggest bringing your own pillows and blankets because it does get a bit cold at times.
Going in for what I thought was a normal c-section Dr. Falcone found that my placenta was embedded into my uterus and had to be separated. This causes you to lose a lot of blood quickly. I had to have a blood transfusion and it was a very scary experience. Normally in this case it's so dangerous that they just remove the entire uterus to speed things up so no harm comes to the mother. But she knew my husband and I would love to have another child so she worked so hard and managed to separate them saving my ability to have another healthy baby in the future. I couldn't be more grateful. I ended up staying in the hospital for 7 days due to all the complications but I was waited on hand and foot like a hotel. The meals were all portioned controlled and not so bad for hospital food. They allow visitors with not a lot of fuss. Thank you to all the staff in the labor and delivery department! You guys were all amazing!!!!!!
