| - This is a no-reservations five star review (but you do need reservations for the tour). :)
I booked the St. Lawrence Food Tour a couple weeks before I headed to Toronto, thinking the introduction to the market would be a good way to stock the fridge for our time there. It absolutely was, and Chef Scott made sure we loved stuffed to the brim.
One thing I really loved about the tour was that we spent the first hour or so on a real walking tour of downtown Toronto. Scott pointed out some restaurants to consider, but also made time for a bit of history, architecture, and even a stop in the beautiful St. James Cathedral.
That is, of course, after the first food/drink stop, at which I got the best vanilla latte I've ever had. After the walking tour, you're back to the market for sweets, savories, cheese, those famous peameal sandwiches, candied salmon, bagels... too many items to count!
This was an outstanding introduction to the wonderful city of Toronto, and I'd go back in a heartbeat when I visit the city again. Thanks, Chef Scott!
