| - I have only written a few reviews, here was my experience with Tao:
Positives (always ++ first):
- nice decor
- nice Vegas view from outdoor balcony
- music decent, DJ's good
- good location in a prime hotel
Negatives:
- cover high relative to experience you receive
- Security personnel EXTREMELY rude, pushy, threatening & generally obnoxious
- small dance floor, relative to crowd admitted in
- extreme & uncomfortable crowding (I would say overcrowding)
- lifeless bar staff (I know it's hard work in a crowded club, if it drains you, well, maybe consider another career)
Summary:
I have worked in and visited many nightclubs all over the world of all sizes, styles/flavors etc. in various capacities and I as I bullet-pointed above there were a few positives, however, I will not return to this club and I would not recommend it to anyone. That is unless they re-train the staff in general professional manners or replace them with folks with manners already in place or.... re-name the club "Prison", that way the security "Gentlemen's" general attitude would make sense. I would encourage anybody that has a stake in this club to hire "secret shopper/attendee" types to visit their club and report back. It's a shame, great location in one of the nicer hotels, IMHO. I left Tao that same evening and visited XS and the experience was far better overall and hence spent much more of my hard earned money over there.
