I think I must be reviewing a different dining establishment many Yelpers here are raving about!
I love nostalgia and especially the vibe of the golden age of Vegas, but that is all this place is surviving on and poorly at best.
The steakhouse salad we were served was disgraceful. The cheapest white garbage iceberg lettuce (cmon people, not a leaf of green) inadequately drained with chunks of carrot that were actually old and dried out, 5-6 chickpeas, husband had a tomato slice, all topped in an already runny "Roquefort " dressing. Diluted Roquefort dressing my favorite.
Prime rib was not prepared to temperature. No flavor. No herb crust. I prepare prime rib multiple times a year in salt crust and it's flavorful moist and delicious. This was NOT from top grade quality prime rib! The broccoli was essentially raw. The generic French Bagette wasn't even Trader Joe's or Smiths quality. Very generic. Dining partner had lamb chops which were decently flavorful. Nothing to rave about.
Service was "ok" but water spilled on member of our party. Main course dishes left to sit for was toooo long after dining was complete.
The vibe is one of surviving on a shoestring. ...Serving a fairly low quality and mediocre flavor experience for ridiculous prices to maximize profit. The leather circular booths are nostalgic. Don't look on the ledges surrounding where they meet the wall where some giant wine and liquor bottle replicas sit. Dust is 1/4 inch thick...
Look for this to make it maybe a few more years.
Could be made really appealing. Clean it up a little, do a little overhaul and for Gods sake get a real chef in charge who didn't start his career as a short order cook at Denny's.
Disappointing would be an understatement.
