  • Every since our family vacay to Maui in March, I have been looking high and low for Hawaiian Poke. Not the kind you buy at a sushi place where they barely give you any and then overcharge you for it, but the kind you get at Foodland on Maui...deli style! Who knew that my search would end when da hubby and I were vacationing in Las Vegas! We stopped in last Sunday and to our surprise Poke Express is NOT a restaurant but a small deli that also sells food items from the islands. The couple running the place were so very friendly and let da hubby and I try poke after poke after poke! We ended up purchasing 3 kinds of poke, and ate it on a bench outside the BigLots store in the same strip mall. LOL We were so full and happy. I just wish I could wrap up Poke Express and move it closer to where we live. Next time we are in Vegas, it will definately be one of our stops.
