  • I gave Salon Diva 2 stars because her assistant showed up on time and did a good job on my bridesmaids, but the owner, Lang, did a terrible job on my bridal hair and makeup. I hired her on the recommendation of my wedding planner, Raana at Sapna Weddings. Do not make the same mistake! Lang showed up an hour late and did my hair, make-up, and chunni/dupatta pinning in about 25 minutes total. She didn't set my hair at all and I had to spray it myself because she barely used any hairspray on me and it was falling into my eyes within 10 minutes. She got eyelash glue all over my lower lashes and tried to cover it with makeup! Her assistant had to scrape it off and re-do the makeup under my eyes after Lang had left. The chunni was pinned all wrong and had to be re-pinned by friends right before my wedding. My photographer does Indian weddings all the time and was horrified by the job that Lang did. Also, Lang charges WAY too much. $450 for bridal hair and makeup is what you'll pay for the primary artist at a big name salon. Lang does not have an actual salon space and works out of her basement.
