| - I'm a California native and I've lived in Ohio for a couple of years. I've gone to the same nail salon since I've been here. I recently became unhappy with that salon and decided to look around. I found Dream Spa on Yelp. I called first, and the receptionist was very good. (That is important in a salon.) I decided to go in first to check things out. They were very BUSY! It bothered me a little that the business was in a house, but I had a wonderful surprise! This is a lovely, warm two-story salon. The interior is charming, calming, attractive and extremely clean. I
was warmly greeted by three smiling young women, one of whom immediately led me upstairs to meet the manicurists. I chatted with
Laura, who looked at my nails, then I left. They were booked solid for the
time I needed, but they put me on a wait list. Happy me, I received a call
that evening! I returned the next day, parked IN BACK, and upon entering
was greeted by two of the cheerful young ladies. They asked what they
could get me (coffee, tea, water), then offered me a soft chair by the fire.
Nice! I filled out a quick info form (they send reminders by email and
phone) and upstairs I went. Laura is only one of a very few people I have
found in the area who do pink and white french manicure (acrylic over
your OWN nails) and will BUFF it out at the end. That is why I went there.
She didn't buff mine this time... She used a clear sealant instead that she
thought I would like. Hmm... not sure yet if I do; I really like buffing to
shine for a finish. Laura stayed late for me, to accommodate my needs -
and didn't know if I was ever coming back. That spoke volumes to me
about her character, as it was the end of the day, they were closing up
and I'm sure she wanted to get home to her family. She did a very nice
job on my nails; they really look wonderful. The french looks very natural
and the acrylic overlay is nice and thin... not thick. The room was nice
and friendly, very chatty, with good music in the background, really nice,
friendly people working there. I absolutely will be back. Oh, I almost forgot: When I left, I was given a "Welcome" gift bag!
