I've been going to Barrows epilepsy unit for roughly 9 years and it has gone quite downhill. They don't return phone calls which is rather disappointing especially, when there is a serious issue going on with one of their patients. I understand they are busy but, all doctors are and when their patients have emergencies they will find time to squeeze them in. At Barrows, they do not. I called back in January for an appointment this summer and I get a call saying "here is your appointment time this is all she has left". I'm sorry but, I'm supposed to schedule all of my vacations around that one appointment?! That's ridiculous! I'm also currently having an emergency as my seizures were under control maybe having one a year and now 2 within the last 3 weeks! My last one was approximately 3 minutes and at 5 you have a chance of brain damage. I'm sorry but, I'm pretty sure that requires a call and some lab work. I guess that just doesn't matter.
